Everette Newland is a 5th generation Denton County native living in western Denton County with his wife, two kids, horses, cattle and four dogs. Everette graduated from Texas A&M University in 1997 with a degree in Rangeland Ecology & Management with an emphasis in Land Economics. He is now a licensed Real Estate Broker, Owner of Newland Real Estate and is committed to providing high-energy service with the latest marketing techniques to give honest and reliable service. He has a thorough understanding of the North Texas Real Estate market. Everette's community involvement includes being a graduate of the Leadership Denton class of 2004, served as Co-Chair for the Leadership Denton class of 2005, on the Human Service Advisory Committee with the City of Denton, on the Subdivision Rules and Regulations Committee in 2008, on the Denton Business Prayer Breakfast Committee in 2007 and as Co-Chair in 2008. |

Justin Newland is a native Texan, born and raised in Denton County. He attended Texas A&M University and graduated in 2006 with a degree in Rangeland Ecology & Management. Justin obtained his Real Estate license in 2006 and considers his education in Rangeland Ecology to have been a beneficial foundation for his career. Justin's enthusiasm for Real Estate fueled his decision to pursue Broker's licensing. Justin has developed numerous investor relationships and personal friendships through Real Estate. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing and playing softball. |

Jared Groce is a lifelong resident of Cooke County. His love for, and knowledge of, the land in North Texas has made him truly enjoy being a REALTOR. Jared works hard in all that he does, and always strives to meet the expectations of those he serves. He realizes that not all Real Estate transactions are the same, and that it takes a special set of skills, contacts and knowledge to make a rural Real Estate transaction go smoothly for all parties. Jared and his wife Leah have three children and are active in the community. He serves as a board member of the Era I.S.D. and as a Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Era United Methodist Church. His passion, outside of his family, is the outdoors. He worked as a volunteer Hunter Education Instructor for the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department and works closely with the Texas Game Warden Association in introducing kids to the outdoors. For over 20 years, Jared worked as the owner of Your Furniture Connection, a retail furniture business with locations in Denton and Decatur. During this time, Jared served as President of the Decatur Chamber of Commerce, and participated in groups such as the Decatur Economic Development Corp., Denton JayCee's, Decatur Lions Club and the Denton Young Professionals. He dedicated 12 years of service as captain of the Lake Kiowa Fire Department, Training Officer of the Valley View Fire Department and as an Emergency Medical Technician for Cooke County. These roles allowed Jared to become extremely familiar with all of Cooke County's 913 square miles from the Red River to Lake Ray Roberts.

Jeff Higgs is a 5th generation Denton County native. He attended Denton High School, Tarrant County Junior College, and the University of North Texas. He currently lives just west of Bolivar with his wife Kathy. They have three sons, Cliff, Mitch and Chris. Jeff established and maintained his own sales territory with H&H Tomato Company from 1978 to 2001. He then owned and operated Bolivar Grocery from 1995 to 2000. After selling Bolivar Grocery he built, owned and managed The Sportsman in Sanger from 2002 to 2009. During this time Jeff also built and sold homes. He has served as Building Committee Chairman for his church and has been a deacon and Sunday School teacher for 27 years. Jeff and Kathy are members of First Baptist Church in Sanger. Jeff has integrity and a well-rounded background, offering a wealth of knowledge of the area and an exceptional level of service in the Real Estate market. |

Pat Burns is a native Texan, born and raised in Denton. After graduating from Ryan High School, Pat played eight years of minor league baseball in the New York Mets organization. After his baseball career ended he went back to school, graduating from the University of North Texas in 2007 and obtaining his Real Estate license in 2008. Pat now resides in Krum with his wife, Kim, and two children, Jackson and Olivia. Pat realizes that buying or selling Real Estate can be one of the most important decisions in someone's life. His job is to see that you get all of the best information and expertise available to make the best decisions and help the process go smoothly. Pat is very involved in the Denton County Community, coaching and giving baseball lessons to over 100 kids over the last ten years. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, teaching kids about baseball, and hunting. |

Melissa Boland, a Texas native, was born in San Antonio and currently lives in South Denton with her husband Patrick, their three children and two dogs. In 1999, while attending college, Melissa began work in the title industry where she advanced from Director of First Impressions to Licensed Escrow Officer. Melissa's drive to excel combined with an appreciation for customer service standards led her to a position in business development and public relations. Years of involvement within the Denton community has been significant to Melissa's career. With her experience, dedication and a passion for helping others, Melissa plays an important part to the Newland team as Office Manager, Licensed Real Estate Assistant and Licensed Notary Public. In addition to managing the office and personnel, Melissa gives special attention to detail as Closing Coordinator. |

Brittany Hammel was born and raised in Denton and currently lives in north Denton with her husband and three dogs. In 1997, she attained a great understanding of cultural diversity while living in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, SA for one year. With a passion for creativity and continuous learning, Brittany attended the University of North Texas and graduated in 2007 with a degree in Merchandising. An education in merchandise promotion, marketing coordination and advertising development is extremely helpful to her career as the Listing Coordinator & Licensed Real Estate Assistant for Newland Real Estate. Brittany enjoys Real Estate and has prior experience in the mortgage and new home building industries.

The Wild Beast Feast competition is held every September at the North Texas State Fairgrounds and benefits the Greater Denton Arts Council, which promotes the artistic, cultural, and educational life of Denton. Newland Real Estate enjoys participating in the event as a great opportunity to support the community that supports them. This year the Newland team prepared outstanding elk and alligator for those with adventurous appetites, as well as cheese grits and fried apples.
Newland Real Estate received the "Best of Beast" title in 2009, along with 1st Place belt buckles and the honor of hosting "Dude" for one year, a 3-foot-tall plush armadillo Beast Feast mascot. |
