Jared Groce is a lifelong resident of Cooke County. His love for, and knowledge of, the land in North Texas has made him truly enjoy being a REALTOR. Jared works hard in all that he does, and always strives to meet the expectations of those he serves. He realizes that not all Real Estate transactions are the same, and that it takes a special set of skills, contacts and knowledge to make a rural Real Estate transaction go smoothly for all parties. Jared and his wife Leah have three children and are active in the community. He serves as a board member of the Era I.S.D. and as a Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Era United Methodist Church. His passion, outside of his family, is the outdoors. He worked as a volunteer Hunter Education Instructor for the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department and works closely with the Texas Game Warden Association in introducing kids to the outdoors.
For over 20 years, Jared worked as the owner of Your Furniture Connection, a retail furniture business with locations in Denton and Decatur. During this time, Jared served as President of the Decatur Chamber of Commerce, and participated in groups such as the Decatur Economic Development Corp., Denton JayCee's, Decatur Lions Club and the Denton Young Professionals. He dedicated 12 years of service as captain of the Lake Kiowa Fire Department, Training Officer of the Valley View Fire Department and as an Emergency Medical Technician for Cooke County. These roles allowed Jared to become extremely familiar with all of Cooke County's 913 square miles from the Red River to Lake Ray Roberts.
